ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) recalibration ensures that cameras and sensors mounted to or near the windshield are properly re-aligned after replacement, a critical safety step for modern vehicles equipped with lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, and similar systems. Skipping recalibration on an ADAS-equipped vehicle can result in degraded system accuracy or failure, which is why we offer the service as part of a complete windshield replacement.

Tint Laws, Compliance & What to Expect
What are the legal tint percentages in California?
California law requires front side windows to allow at least 70% of light in (VLT). Rear side windows and the rear window may be any darkness if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides. The windshield may only have a 4-inch tint strip at the top of the glass. $99 Tint Club installs CHP-compliant film and can advise you on the correct film and VLT for each window position on your specific vehicle.
Will a darker tint get me a tint ticket in California?
Yes. Front side windows tinted below 70% VLT are one of the most common reasons for CHP fix-it tickets. We install compliant films so you stay legal from day one. If you already have a tint violation, we can retint the affected windows with a legal film before your court date so you can address the fix-it ticket and get it dismissed.
What does "35% tint" mean?
Tint percentage refers to Visible Light Transmission (VLT), the proportion of visible light the film allows to pass through the glass. A 35% VLT film means 35% of light gets through, producing a moderately dark appearance. Keep in mind that 35% on front side windows is below California's legal minimum of 70% VLT and would be a citable violation on a passenger vehicle.
Does paint protection film really protect against rock chips?
Yes. PPF is a thick, optically clear urethane film that absorbs and disperses the impact energy from road debris, gravel, and bug acids before it can damage your paint. Premium films such as XPEL Ultimate Plus feature a self-healing top coat that recovers minor surface scratches with exposure to heat. We offer Full Front, Track Pack, and Full Vehicle coverage options depending on how much protection your vehicle needs.
Are your tint and PPF installations warrantied?
Yes, all installations are warranty-backed. Warranty terms vary by product and film tier. Our team will provide the specific warranty documentation for your selected film or coating at the time of your quote so you know exactly what is covered and for how long.
What should I expect during an installation appointment?
The process follows three steps: first, vehicle check-in and thorough surface prep to ensure the install surface is clean and contaminant-free; second, precision cut and installation in our controlled shop environment; and third, a final quality inspection before the vehicle is released to you. Time on-site varies by service. Window tint is typically completed the same day for most vehicles. Full vehicle PPF installations may require two to three days depending on complexity.
